Core Values

family

“There is great comfort and inspiration in the feeling of close human relationships and its bearing on our mutual fortunes - a powerful force, to overcome the "tough breaks" which are certain to come to most of us from time to time.” - Walt Disney

As a devoted husband, son, brother and cousin, my family comes first.  I have been there for my family and my family has been there for me.  Education starts with the family.

faith

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;" - Proverbs 3:5

My wife and I were eating dinner at a restaurant once.  We happened to be in the middle of a very stressful day with a lot of things going wrong.  Underneath my chair was a hat that said "Relax, God is in Control, Proverbs 3:5".  It was a sign from the heavens.  Sometimes you have to put your trust in someone or something else and have faith that at the end of the day, it will all work out.

service

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." - Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)

Service is the best way to show yourself to the world.  After all, we all breath the same air and walk on the same dirt.  At its core, service is a way to give back for all the good things that have come out of life.

knowledge

“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.” - Kofi Annan, seventh secretary general of the United Nations.

Knowledge is important.  The best way to obtain knowledge is through education and hands on learning.

hope

"Where hope grows, miracles blossom."  - Elna Rae

When faced with adversity, which I've had my share of, it helps to be hopeful.  When I was told I had cancer last year, I was devastated.  I quickly realized that feeling sorry for myself only made matters worse.  I found hope through my family and friends.

loyalty

"Loyalty cannot be blueprinted. It cannot be produced on an assembly line. In fact, it cannot be manufactured at all, for its origin is the human heart-the center of self-respect and human dignity. It is a force which leaps into being only when conditions are exactly right for it-and it is a force very sensitive to betrayal." - Maurice Franks

I am very happy to extend my loyalty to all who deserve it.  I believe that it is the cornerstone of networking and friendship.

fairness

“Fairness is what justice really is.” - Potter Stewart (1915-1985) American Judge and associate justice of the US Supreme Court (1958-81)

My mind thinks of situations in terms of outcomes.  The outcome of all situations should be equal and fair to all sides.

hard work

"It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the Spring, who reaps a harvest in the Autumn." - BC Forbes

Educating our youth is hard work. I've witnessed the exhaustion caused by the patience and diligence required to educate. Even though it is hard work, the seeds of knowledge must be planted early and then cultivated until High School when society reaps the benefits of all that hard work.

honesty

“Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” - Thomas Jefferson (1762-1826) American 3rd US President (1801-09). Author of the Declaration of Independence.

I am an honest person living in a dishonest world.  Honesty is the root of trust and trust is the root of loyalty.  I will be honest with everyone I meet because I want their trust and I want them to be loyal to me as I will be to them.

teamwork

"People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society." - Vince Lombardi (1913-1970), football coach for the NFL

From the great one himself!  We can all work together to make it through tough times and back into good times again.  Everyone must be prepared to sacrifice a little bit in these trying times we live in.  It will all work out in the end.
